WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Welcome! I’m Katie.

I am a registered Counsellor, Youth Worker, and Play Therapist, here to navigate life’s ups and downs with you and your family. As a mum of two amazing daughters, I have lived through the teenage years and gained a significant understanding on neurodiversity from the front line – including the frustrations, gaps and break downs. Trust me – I get it!

Alongside my personal experience, I bring over 17 years of professional expertise in the mental health field. I have experience in a broad spectrum of challenges, including mental health, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, homelessness, and school engagement. My work also involves early intervention, where I have developed and led workshops and created programs that genuinely make a difference for young people. My sessions are filled with a sprinkle of creativity and understanding coming from several different lens based on my knowledge.

My background covers a wide range of areas, including assisting children with social skill development and addressing behavioural challenges, as well as supporting their emotional regulation. I also have extensive experience in navigating the intricacies of family separation, conflict, and attachment issues. Additionally, I am skilled in guiding children and teens through various types of trauma, including abuse and neglect, with a compassionate and nurturing approach.

My mission is to provide comprehensive support in an attempt to close the gap associated with lengthy waitlists for paediatricians, psychologists, and diagnoses here in WA by assisting in early intervention equipping you and your children with practical strategies and valuable resources. Think of me as your guide to a toolkit of effective solutions designed to help your family not just cope, but truly thrive.
